Dear Parents and Carers,
We are coming to the end of the strangest term of my career. We have been working in ways we never would have chosen to. However, it is worth noting that despite all the demands on everybody we have found some real positives and better practices as a result.
We now have a clear idea of what is expected of us in September and have been busy planning how the new regulations affect us. We will be continuing to work in ‘bubbles’ in three rooms. Each bubble will have their own access to toilets and outdoor space. We are hopeful that there will be some changes to regulations as time goes on but for now, our priority remains to keep children, families and staff as safe as possible.
There are some slight adjustments to the staggered drop off and collection times which you will receive by email. We look forward to welcoming back all our existing families in September as well as welcoming our new families.
Parents and non-essential visitors are still not allowed on site so we will greet you at the door for the handover (this has worked very well this term). We have arranged a short ‘goodbye’ for those families leaving us to move on to primary school and you will have had a letter from the Teachers about this.
I want to personally thank you all for your support. These have been really challenging times for everyone and we could not have wished for a more supportive or understanding group of families.
For those moving on, we wish you all the very best – do come back and see us when we get back to ‘normal’.
Let’s hope the weather is kind and we can get through a busy few weeks in Cornwall.
Thank you again and very best wishes.
Mrs Helen Adams, Headteacher
